OUR APPROACH
Our process is thorough and intentional to ensure we understand your vision and can best recreate this in your own outdoor environment.
OUR APPROACH
We work with clients from the initial consultation and conceptualization of design ideas through construction and planting. Already have a design or are working with a landscape architect? We work well with landscape architects to ensure your project comes to life exactly the way you envision it.

-
A brief conversation to understand your property, goals, timeline, and investment range.
We discuss how you envision using your outdoor space, the character of your home and landscape, and whether Mirow is the right fit for your project.
-
An on-site meeting to walk the property and explore opportunities.
During this visit we review:
Site conditions and existing landscape
Architecture and property context
Functional goals and lifestyle needs
Budget expectations and project priorities
Following the consultation, we prepare a Design Proposal outlining the scope of design services.
Design Phase
-
We gather the technical information required to design the project.
This may include:
Property survey review
Site measurements
Topography and drainage observations
Existing vegetation assessment
Photo documentation
This step ensures the design is grounded in the realities of the site.
-
We develop an initial design direction for the property.
This phase may include:
Conceptual site plan
Program layout (patios, gardens, circulation, outdoor living)
Material palette
Precedent imagery or sketches
The goal is to establish the overall vision and spatial organization of the landscape.
-
The concept is refined into a more detailed and coordinated design.
This phase typically includes:
Scaled landscape plans
Hardscape layouts
Planting design
Lighting and feature integration
Preliminary construction budgeting
Client feedback is incorporated to ensure the design aligns with both vision and investment level.
-
Detailed drawings and specifications are prepared for construction.
Documents may include:
Final layout plans
Grading and drainage considerations
Planting plans
Material specifications
Construction details
These drawings guide the build process and allow accurate pricing.
-
Once design is finalized, we prepare the construction proposal.
This includes:
Detailed scope of work
Construction schedule
Payment schedule
Material selections
At this stage clients formally authorize the construction phase.
-
Before work begins we coordinate logistics and materials.
This may include:
Material procurement
Subcontractor coordination
Site preparation
Permits (if required)
-
Our team and trusted craftspeople bring the design to life.
Typical phases may include:
Site preparation and grading
Hardscape and structural elements
Carpentry and specialty features
Planting installation
Lighting and irrigation
Throughout construction we provide regular updates and site oversight.
-
At completion we walk the property together to review the finished landscape.
Clients receive:
Plant care guidance
Material care instructions
Maintenance recommendations
-
For clients whose landscapes we have designed and built, Mirow offers ongoing stewardship and maintenance to ensure the landscape matures as intended. Our team provides careful horticultural care, seasonal attention, and thoughtful refinements so the landscape continues to develop beautifully over time.
Because we maintain only landscapes we have designed and installed, we are able to care for each property with a deep understanding of the original vision, materials, and plantings.
Inspired by the past + refined by curiosity.
